🐱 Ktm 500 Exc F Oil Change
It is called $$$$. The Dealers and OEM want you to change everything after 30-50 Hours. I have a 04 WR450. Only engine change are the valve adjustments. The bike has the same power as when I purchased it new. The KTM motor is strong. Change the oil often and check the valves. Unless there is a problem. Don't spend the money.
Regarding my KTM 500 oil changes, I do mine every thousand miles. One time, doing the Arizona Backcountry Discovery Route, I rode 1,700 miles - we rode all the way north-to-south, then returned all the way - a different route. The oil looked fine! Use a quality oil, and under ' normal ' use - change every 1,000 miles.

hi. i just have a general enquiry. i did around 10-12 hours of riding since a previous oil change and checked the oil level in the small glass and i couldn't see any oil showing in it. so i decided to drain the oil and do an oil change and measure/calculate how much oil in total was drained out of the bike and it was 770ml that was left in the

Posted March 23, 2015. I have a 2012 KTM XC-W 500 that has recently had injector issues. I bought it second hand 6 months ago and have put 45 hrs and 1,100 miles on it without any issues until this month. A little background on the bike. The last owner had removed the inline fuel filter and was running it without a fuel filter, but it did have
In-Tank Fuel Filter. Instructions for installing the BDSB filter, which is designed to replace the Mahle brand KL 97 filter, normally used inside the gas tank on KTM & Husqvarna bikes. This is what your fuel pump assembly will look like when done. Except for the clear piece of tube, which will still be the same black stock tube.

After doing some reading it looks as though the Rotella may be safe to use in my bike. (06 KTM 400EXC). I haven't seen alot about this oil written for use in offroad bikes, and am not sure if it makes a difference compared to other bikes or not. The bike has a wet clutch, and does require JASO MA. The manual calls for 10w/50, full synthetic to
Brakes, wheel bearings, chain guides, chains, sprockets, fuel filters, stuff like that. That’s compared to t7 or other more street oriented “adventure” bikes. When you compare the ktm 500exc with the crf or Wr I think you are talking about the same wear down on chassis parts if you commuted with them daily.
The rear knobs have less space between them and the rubber compound offers up surprisingly good grip on rocks and roots. The KTM 500 EXC might weight 264 pounds with a full tank of gas but out on
This cooler will help the motor run cooler/longer and increase oil change intervals. For a while hot oil was melting a low temp solder used on the stator causing failure in extreme conditions. KTM's supplier has since switch to a higher temp solder. Probably will not make a huge difference if boiling over is the issue.
