35. Los Angeles, Ca. Oct 10, 2014. #4. By unplugging the compressor you have essentially set a bunch of fault codes that are going to make it harder to diagnose. It probably needs a compressor, relay, and ride level module update, but that's just a guess.
Since having it we have had many issues with the first being the Engine System Faulty which was diagnosed by 3 different mechanics including LR who stated that the High Pressure Fuel pump needed to be replaced. So while trying to save to have this issue repaired, we had the Suspension, Transmission, HDC, Engine System Fault and Park Break Light
Very basically there are four major components in the air suspension system: the airbag springs, the ride height sensors, the air compressor and the self levelling suspension ECU. The ride height sensors will detect the height of the chassis above the rear axle and sends that value to the ECU (part of the SLABS ECU).
Intermittent “suspension fault normal height only” appears on the dash Recalibration of the struts when the vehicle is switched off to maintain the front and rear ride levels. Every time the engine has started the system takes approximately 30 seconds to recalibrate and refill the struts

It didn't seem to be affecting the ride in any way and was reset when restarting. However, that morphed into the warning coming on more frequently but cancelling itself. Again, the ride didn't seem to be affected.

A “suspension fault” on a Range Rover means an issue with the Range Rovers suspension system, which is responsible for providing a smooth ride and maintaining tire contact with the road. A worn or damaged suspension component, a malfunctioning control module, or a problem with the air suspension system can cause this.

system. Check the height sensor bracket condition and security. Check the height sensor for correct fitment and torque of fixings. If any height sensor fixings are slackened or found to be loose, or a height sensor has been changed, the vehicle ride height must be re-calibrated. Calibrate thesystem using approved diagnostic system.
The main obstacle to any conversion of the LR3 is the terrain response system that is fitted to all air suspension vehicles. The system is so integrated into the other systems of the vehicle that warning lights and a inoperative Terrain Response was always the result. Atlantic British has recently come out with a coil suspension kit for the LR3
